About Yasmin Mendoza

Yasmin Mendoza is a longtime Lemon Grove resident, community advocate, and small business supporter with deep roots in the city she proudly calls home. Raised in a hardworking family, Yasmin understands the importance of perseverance, community connection, and giving back. Her grandfather built their family home in Lemon Grove brick by brick, and her father owned a local transmission shop in Lemon Grove, giving her firsthand insight into the importance of small businesses and the hardworking families that keep the community moving. Those values of hard work, resilience, and community continue to guide her today.

Over the years, Yasmin has become known for her grassroots involvement throughout the community. From organizing neighborhood events and holiday gatherings to installing free solar lighting in dark areas around Lemon Grove, she has focused on practical ways to improve safety, bring neighbors together, and uplift the city she loves.

As a healthcare worker, homeowner, and active community voice at City Council meetings, Yasmin is passionate about supporting local businesses, improving public spaces, and ensuring residents feel heard and represented. Her mission is simple: put the community first, restore pride in Lemon Grove, and help create a cleaner, safer, and more connected city for future generations.
